I'm documenting my journey through the business world as an individual with the goal of creating unique ideas within the training, sports and coaching industries. The reasons .... change lives, do what I love and challenge myself. It has not been easy... and I am yet to find the perfect formula, but we only have one life and one time.

A few videos from when my ideas turned into action...
Into the "Real world"
One of my first ideas when I left university and stepped into the "real world" and created a partnership with Monmouthshire County Council after proposing my personal training services. This was initially agreed upon a trail, which proved successful. Thereafter the model was used across all four sites in Monmouthshire. The idea generated more revenue for the centres, created more jobs for other personal trainers and provided customers with a more tailored individual service to benefit their fitness and well-being. This continued for around 8 years until COVID shut the centres down. I'm very proud of this idea and I loved the job working with amazing people and changing lives. It gave me confidence within myself that I can create so I continued to search for more...

Whilst working in the gym I was always thinking of new ideas, whether it be a different service or product that I could create to serve the training, sports and coaching industries. This particular video is terrible! But i was simply putting my ideas into action and I didn't have a real clue of what I was doing. But I created my own brand and called it 1Life1Time. The initial idea was to make a motivational brand that would educate people that wanted to learn more about fitness, nutrition and the gym itself. This was the birth of 1Life1Time...

The first workout video for chepstow bootcamp
Along the journey, I created "Chepstow Bootcamp', which was a class based service that was simply a circuit style regime for high intensity workouts. Everyone that attended would understand the difficulty of this particular video below. I would use this little 3minute idea in the class, which was guaranteed to get the legs burning! This is still a challenge today, try it out if you dare...
My invention - the coreball
Another idea which came from clients asking for homework regimes. As I researched particular equipment I found there was a lot of expense and a lot of space required to produce a professional workout. So I decided to design my own and I came to a multi functional fitness product that can affordable and save space, whilst also provide hundreds of options for workout routines. There was an entrepreneurial competition called "Pitch to Rich" (Sir Richard Branson) in which I finished 30th out of 912 applicants. Not bad for my first invention! I was very pleased in the results and the journey was an unbelievable experience. I thank all of those who supported me along the way. Another moment that built my confidence and belief in taking action on your ideas. unfortunately , the amount of funding required was too high for me to raise. But I still have the prototype in my office to remind me that I got pretty close. Maybe next time...

The first 1Life1Time event (Let's swing off a cliff)
A client of mine, Tom, wanted a new challenge from his training at the gym. There were multiple contra-indictions to consider so this was also a challenge for me as his trainer. We decided to create a charity event to raise funds for Toms residency and build a gym for his home. Again I thank those who helped and supported with this. It will forever be a memorable time for Tom, his family/friends his residency and myself. Another proud moment.
